Yesterday was a long day for our crew at New Look. We completed many phases in this project.

Today we….

Tore off the standing seam metal roof.

Repaired all the damaged wood.

Tore our box gutters.

Installed synthetic felt.

Installed iceguards in valleys,

Here is the finished product of a job we completed earlier this week. Owens Corning 3 dimensional architectural shingle.

Today’s roofing project. We finished in just enough time to be at a good stopping point before the rainfall. Thankful for our contractors who work quickly and thoroughly.

A nice transformation over the weekend. Love this before and after. This shade of vinyl siding did its job of giving this homeowner a more modern look.

This was an easy and inexpensive fix that could save thousands in the long run!

Just a little look into our roofing world today! The crew is tearing off 115 sq. of a 3 tab shingle, to be replaced with Oakridge 30 year shingle.

Current situation! Using only the best OWENS CORNING. Our contractors use this material on a daily basis and we can only brag about its durability and long-lasting material. The company Owens Corning backs up their materials with a 30 to LIFETIME warranty. It doesn't get much better than that!

At New Look we do a wide range of roofing projects. From simple repairs to large commercial buildings. We like to say "no job is too big or too small". Our repeat customers who we may begin their relationship with us on an initial roof replacement, continue to use our services on other jobs as well. It might be another property that is owned as a rental, commercial apartment building they either own or manage, or just adding a new gutter system the home we already replaced a roof on.

This is what we call a cricket... It's a ridge structure designed to divert water on a roof around the high side of a chimney. Unfortunately, for this homeowner the previous roofing did not install one, hence the damaged wood picture below (left side). New Look is happy to help our customers avoid future damage due to improper installation. We love doing it the right way!

Roofing work can be physically demanding because it involves heavy lifting, as well as climbing, bending, and kneeling, frequently in very hot weather. These guys make this job look easy. Always staying in good spirits regardless of the hot temperature or dangerous conditions being at such great heights. Can I just say... We love working with developers! It's a bit like a painting. When you’re able to start with a fresh, new canvas, seems like it's always easier to install the right way, our way. Being in the roofing industry our contractors are experts in replacing existing roofs by tearing off and replacing what was already installed. Along the way we sometimes encounter improper installations, underlayment placed incorrectly and flashing not correctly serving its purpose of keeping water out your home. While doing New Construction Projects we are able to be the first to install things the correct way, which in return last and looks better than any replacement. Being the first really is the best!

I was able to take a couple photos of some preparation for chimney flashing. See Jose! Unfortunately, chimneys are notorious for leaking, and the culprit is almost always the sheet metal flashings. Just ask any roofer. At New Look we suggest always installing a new chimney flashing if it’s missing, rusted through, falling out or completely covered with roofing tar (a typical short-term fix that’s sure to be hiding bigger problems). It’s also a good time to install new flashing when you put on new shingles because you’ll want it to last as long as the new roofing (25 to 40 years).
