Louisville Flooding and Roof Damage: New Look Responds
Harrods Creek, Captains Quarters, Creek Side Landing, Louisville Yacht Club, Rose Island
Many homes bordering the Ohio have been affected by the extreme amounts of rainfall we have seen recently. Our team at New Look has been on several calls over the past few weeks regarding leaking roofs due to all the rainfall, improper previous roof replacements, and much needed repairs that were put off too long. We are extremely saddened for the homeowners who have been affected and are working hard to provide quality roof repairs and replacements for everyone who needs our services.
If your home has experienced any leaking or visible water damage following the recent storms, don't wait to have it looked at. Small leaks can turn into much larger problems quickly, especially with more rain in the forecast. Water that gets past a compromised roof doesn't stop at the shingles. It works its way into the decking, insulation, and eventually the interior of your home. The longer it sits, the more damage it causes and the more expensive the repair becomes.
Areas along the Ohio River corridor have been hit particularly hard. Communities including Harrods Creek, Captains Quarters, Creek Side Landing, Louisville Yacht Club, and Rose Island have all seen significant water levels in recent weeks. If your home is in or near any of these areas, we strongly encourage you to have your roof inspected even if you haven't noticed an obvious leak. Storm damage isn't always visible from inside the home until it has already progressed.
Here is a short video of the water level near the eastern bank line of the Ohio River so you can see just how significant the flooding has been.
Our inspections are completely free. Give us a call at (502) 341-4415 and we will get someone out to take a look as soon as possible.
